Okay so i just beat the game and i have this to say:- Comparing to DS1 this game was waay shorter and way easier.- Great many things were a copy of DS1 like names of places and weapons and enemies.- Anor londo was a whole freakin city in DS1 and here its just a retexturised S & O room and the sad part where that blacksmith is. I dont mind nostalgia - i kind of love it but i think they were using too much of the old content in this game.- The bosses were VERY dissapointing. In DS1 i remember them being very grotesque - like and here they are just some nice texure minnions that are a bit bigger than u are. In DS1 there were those unexpected boss encounters like remember the Gaping dragon? Down in the sewers? Who expected that thing to be there and the centipede demon and caselss and this huuge bosses that make u go wooow holy.
this is awesome.- The boss locations were SOO obvious here like seriously 100000 stairways going up and only up leading to a huge doorway. In darksouls 1 the path to a boss was like. Not so obvious that there is going to be a boss.- They said the world will be interconnected like DS1. Well name 1 area that is please. Name 1 area that is connected like the sewers - dragon valley - blighttown style.
The world is linear like DS2. The best thing about darksouls 1 was those many paths u could take. Like one way splitting into 3 and those 3 each splitting onto 2 and so on.
And i miss that feeling when u cant decide where to go first because there are so many different paths and u choose one and it leads to another. And then there is a fog game and u say oohh ♥♥♥♥ and the boss kills you and u respawn and u dont even know where u are anymore. That is good. Remember hydra?
Unexpected like that.- Weapons are the same. Black knight greataxe still has the highest base dmg when upgraded the same as DS1. No new awesome weapons here. Only copies of the DS1 ones. Smoughs hammer, dragonslayer spear, artorias greatsword and so on.- One thing that really bothered me and i might have even gotten it all wrong but. Kiln of the first flame was behind that stone door and across those pillars.

The place was underground and the 1st flame itself was in the middle of it. Here it seems to be the same area?
Only that it is out in the open and totally different. No final boss i repeat NO final boss fear in DS3. I was afraid to enter the fog in DS1.
Here all i saw was a dude sitting at the bonfire. A dude who has 3 different attacks. Wow.- There are literally like 5 different enemies in the entire game. I think i was fighting the same creeps all game long.
Those wierd little guys with a hat and those undead guys whole game. Boring.- The game is missing some awesome content that like the ash lake or lost izzalith. Those places were cool looking. Here I cant really say the level design was soo good.
It was all the same. Just some lame castles everywhere. And anor londo is now apparently 1 building instead of a whole huge city that doesnt even fit onto the screen.I could write many more liek this but. Its wayy to long already. If u did read it i really want to know what you think. Pls reply what u think how was this game compared to DS1.Hope im not the only one:)May the dark shine your way. Im liking the game but it does feel very very generic.
I dont feel its bringing anything new to the table. People love to hate on dks2 but at least that game had imaginative locations and world building.
The only 2 things this game has over the others its the music and graphics. Most of the bossfights have been easy, the lock on system is horrible (♥♥♥♥ing get rid of the center camera option and extend the lock on range and make it actualy switch between targets like it did before). I hope the dlc is better and takes us to new magical places. It's simple evolution of gaming. Demon's Souls was the hardest, because it was the first one around, and took me some time to master. DS1 was a cakewalk, DS2 was a snoozefest, and having played bloodborne prepared me enough for DS3's faster pace that nothing really changed. One of my biggest issues with this game: its basically one big fan service release. Honestly if I want to wear smough's ♥♥♥♥ing ♥♥♥♥ armour i'd revisit DS1.
The world is fine, npcs are ok, gameplay mechanics are so-so, online is a huge clusterfukc. Nothing blatantly different from previous games around launch, with DS2 being the most stable and least buggy one (ye ye durability bug, but cmon spam R1 less). There are definitely similarities between 1 and 3, I mean it's meant to be like a homage / send-off to the series so they're whacking in everyones favourite weapons etc.I don't know if I agree with 3 being easier BECAUSE anyone comparing the two, it's safe to say they've played both.
(if they haven't they've no place comparing).Point is, you have Dark Souls experience, I've found each souls game successively easier, but it's hard to really say if it's actually easier or I just got gud.I did get kinda sick of those little guys in the hoods though lol.
Bonfires in Dark Souls 3 are safe points within where players can rest, repair equipment, recover estus and travel to other already discovered bonfires. From a bonfire you select the following menu options:. Travel. Attune Spell. Organize Storage box.
Burn. Begin journey X (X = amount of times played through on character + 1. This will progress you to a new game cycle. Option only available once an ending has been reached).
LeaveThe bonfire in can be upgraded (marked as bonfire level) using, thus increasing the amount of health regained per. You can give an to to increase the amount of available. In addition to bonfire checkpoints, there are rare healing stations along the way called where you can drink from a cauldron to restore your HP and FP gauges. The Ember icons to the right of the names indicate the presence of a Host of Ember.
