Terraria is a 2D single-player sandbox survival game released in 2011 by Re-Logic game studio. Since then, the game was sold 12 million times and became the most highly respected representative of the genre. During the game, you have to mine resources, fight monsters, craft items, and build anything you want. You can download Terraria for PC, Mac, Linux, PS4, Xbox One, PS Vita, Nintendo 3DS, iOS, and Android.

Graphics 5/5

Oct 22, 2016  Welcome to my Let's Play of the Xbox 360 Edition of Terraria. In this series I will learn how to play the game while I have fun in my wonderful world. I will go mining, build things and eventually.

Terraria game is designed on the Microsoft XNA graphical engine. This game development core allowed developers to create a self-repeating code that can generate endless 2D terrains. It’s not a graphically advanced game – it’s just a pixel-art sandbox with its authentic indie charm.

Gameplay 5/5

Terraria gameplay is based on the idea of survival. At the very beginning of the game, you have to choose a character you like and pick up him or her a haircut, clothes, boots, and color of skin. Right after that, you can start a game. The engine will generate a unique terrain and throw you into the game with a couple of utensils, such as a wooden sword and a copper pickaxe.

The first thing you should do is build at least a small dwelling to hide from the monstrous night creatures, such as zombies, warms and levitating eyeballs. These creatures are not very dangerous, but you need armor and better weapons to resist them without worrying about death.

Unlike Minecraft, the process of constructing buildings is not that exciting. It’s much more interesting to explore the underground world. There you can find endless corridors of caves full of monsters and randomly scattered treasure-chests.

Though it’s a single-player game, you are not alone in there. The more buildings in different areas you build, the more people spawn around to talk to you and to trade you useful stuff.

Controls 4.5/5

For this Terraria review, we tested mobile, console, and PC versions. The most comfortable and intuitive control scheme belongs to the classic PC version. However, you may enjoy the console version too because Terraria is a 2D platformer-like game. The touch-screen version is the poorest one. Its controls are not as fast as in other versions.

Replay Value 5/5

Terraria latest version includes limitless opportunities for character customization, crafting, and exploration. Titanic honor and glory download. Once you create your character, you are likely to fall in love with this brave avatar. He can never die forever, so you can save your stuff in safe houses and travel around with no fear. The universe of Terraria is endless and hides thousands of incredible items and resources.

The Bottom Line

Terraria survival game is one of the best games of the genre. Over 12 million players purchased it officially in 8 years, and its fandom is still growing. Choose the platform you like the most and head to the world full of loot and fantasy creatures!
